Reaver hat das PC Tool PS3 ISO2JB veröffentlicht. Mit dem Tool können selbsterstellte PS3 ISO´s so umgewandelt werden, das die Games im Anschluß mit dem PSJailbreak/PSGroove/x3Jailbreak/PS3Key etc. via Backup Manager gestartet werden können.

Rsparrow hat den PSPInstaller aktualisiert. Wer mit dem Homebrewapp für die PSP (Custom Firmware/Homebrewkompatiblität wird vorrausgesetzt) noch nicht vertraut ist, der PSP Installer erlaubt es komfortabel und einfach Homebrewsoftware auf die PlayStation Portable, ähnlich wie Cydia auf dem iPhone zu installieren und zu verwalten.

Das WODE Team hat die Firmware für den Wii Optical Drive Emulator, kurz WODE aktualisiert.
Die Probleme mit Metroid Other M und Samurais Warriors wurden jetzt behoben.
Zu dem wurde der NTFS-3G R/W Support implementiert.

teknecal hat eine neue Version des Homebrew Browsers für die/den Nintendo Wii veröffentlicht.
Mit dem Homebrew Browser können Homebrewprogramme direkt über das Internet auf die Wii geladen und installiert werden.

Brandon Wilson, MuscleNerd & Mathieulh haben die Open-Source Version, sozusagen dem Hack des PSJailbreaks mit dem Namen PSGroove veröffentlicht.
PSGroove erlaubt es ganz legal die gleichen Funktionen zu nutzen die mit dem PSJailbreak USB Modchip möglich sind.
Im Klartext, Homebrewsoftware kann jetzt so gut wie kostenlos auf der PlayStation 3 genutzt werden.
Die günstiges Platine für den PSGroove Port kostet 20.- Euro. Diverse Microcontroller werden schon unterstützt, der Code wird aber wahrscheinlich auch auf weitere Controller bzw. Geräte portiert.
Es wird sogar von einer Möglichkeit gesprochen den PSGroove-PS3-PSJailbreak Hack auf einem "gejailbreaktem" iPhone zu nutzen. Eine PlayStation Portable mit Custom Firmware könnte eventuell ebenfalls den PSGroove auf der PlayStation 3 nutzbar machen.
Ein TI-84 Taschenrechner soll ebenfalls einen PS Groove Port spendiert bekommen.
Der kompilierte PSGroove Source Code wird einfach auf einer der kompatiblen Microcontroller geschrieben und kann dann auf der PlayStation 3 wie der PSJailbreak genutzt werden.
PS3Newz.Com hat die ersten vorkompilierten Versionen des PSGrooves für diverse kompatible Controller, unter anderem kompatibel zum günstigen Teensy++ Board veröffentlicht. Das Teensy Board ist mittlerweile auch schon ausverkauft und wird vermutlich mitte September verfügbar sein. Auch ein umfangreiche Plan für einen kompletten Clone der Hardware wurde released. Die Dokumentation des PSJailbreaks bzw. PSGrooves wurde von phire aka phiren (hier) auf http://www.ps3wiki.lan.st/ umfangreich beschrieben.

Ab dem 9. November wird es einen neuen Xbox 360 Controller mit verbessertem D-Pad geben.
Die wichtigste Neuerung, das D-Pad des neuen Controllers wird in 2 Positionen verstellbar sein. Die Farben der A,B,X & Y Buttons wurden zu dem in Grautöne abgeändert.
Der Controller wird mit dem Play & Carge Kit für 64,99.- US Dollar erhältlich sein. Ob und wann, vorallem wieviel der neue Controller für die Xbox 360 in Deutschland kostet ist noch nicht bekannt.
